Delicious and Nutritious DIY Popsicle Recipe for Dogs

8.17.2020

What better way to celebrate your dog’s birthday than with some tasty frozen pup-sicles for your pet and all their friends. These safe, healthy, and delicious pup-sicles will be a hit.

Items You Will Need To Make Pup-sicles:

  • A popsicle mold or a plastic or silicone ice cube tray

  • Dog-safe liquid – such as water, broth, goats milk, regular milk, or plain yogurt

  • Your pup’s favorite Vital Essentials Freeze-Dried Treats or Food

Step one:

Using water, broth, milk, or plain yogurt, add liquid to your popsicle molds or trays. If you use milk, consider using goat’s milk instead of cow’s milk because goat’s milk is easier for your dog to digest and will be less likely to cause an upset tummy. You can also make smaller pup-sicles using less liquid, and remember to feed your canine guests pup-sicles in moderation.

Step two:

Use your pup’s favorite freeze-dried treats like Duck Nibs, Minnows, or Beef Liver, and arrange the treats inside the popsicle molds. Use a variety of different freeze-dried treats so that your dog can pick out their favorite flavor of pup-sicle.

Step three:

Place the pup-sicles in your freezer for at least two hours until frozen solid.

Step four:

Remove the tasty treats from the mold and place them in a sealed container. Serve them immediately or store them in the freezer until ready to feed. You can make these a few days ahead while you plan for your pup’s party.

Step five:

Celebrate! Freeze up a variety of pup-sicles and use them at your pup’s birthday bash. Get their friends together and share. They’ll be so excited to have a cool treat on a hot summer day, and you’ll be happy they’re getting extra nutrients from our Vital Essentials Freeze-Dried Treats!
