Jack: Hi, my name is Jack, and I am longhaired Chihuahua
Agnes: And I am Agnes, a fabulous toy Pomeranian
Both: And we are the Woof Gang Bakery and Grooming shop mascots in Asheville, North Carolina.
Agnes: We have it pretty good around here and love where we work. “Working” is a loose term we use for our day of fun, relaxation and treats. We entertain the customers and generally look cute…all the time! We usually pass the time at the shop by helping to choose the right treats, for ourselves, of course. Once in a while we help other pups by showing them how to take the treats out of the buckets. We love it when they grab duck heads; it’s like our own little practical joke. But once they experience that crunch, they are hooked. We also make sure the barking is kept to a minimum in the grooming area, because we bark enough when folks come into the shop. We love joining mom at work because we know a day of fun and treats are waiting!
Jack: Really Agnes? It is not always about you, but me of course! I am definitely the wiser. I came to this shop for the first time as a rescue and never left! Agnes on the other hand, someone just came in and dropped her off. She’s two and I am four. It does not matter that she is fluffier, I am definitely tougher. Unlike Agnes, I actually work (once in a while) at the shop. I jump in the tub and check in with the other mutts getting groomed. I try to tell them they will definitely get more love once they smell better and have been through the fluff cycle.
Agnes: I spend a lot of time in the bath for some reason. But, it feels sooooooo good. I love to explore outside. Sometimes I have foliage and freeloaders in my fur, but Dad always gets them out. He is one of the groomers here and my favorite human of all time. Yes, I know what you are saying, I AM a diva, that is obvious, isn’t it? However, I hate manicures and pedicures. I would rather be chewing on a shoe. And if a bow makes it in my hair, it does not last long.
Jack: Agnes and I spend our days in total relaxation. We are two of five dogs at home so you can imagine, having to share is not really our favorite activity. That is why we love our trips to the store. Our second favorite activity is mealtime, which, at our house, is like feeding time at the zoo.
Both: Thanks for hanging out with us. We have lots of great stories in the works so check back here for more fun and shenanigans!
